Single bet settlement calculator

For a winning cash bet with no adjustments, return is stake multiplied by decimal odds. Net profit is return minus stake. Enter the settled outcome and any deductions to calculate other cases.

Commission applies to this calculation as a whole. Market-level netting, tax, cash-outs and promotion-specific rules may differ.

Settlement breakdown & scenarios

Stake, return and net result

A cash stake is money at risk. A returned stake is part of the amount credited after settlement, not profit. A 10-unit cash stake at 2.50 returns 25 after a win and makes a net profit of 15. The same nominal free bet with stake not returned credits only the 15 profit.

For free-bet mode, the calculator reports nominal stake separately from cash outlay, which is zero. A void produces no cash payout in this model; any reinstatement of the promotional token is outside the cash calculation. Use your promotion’s terms to determine whether a token is restored.

If your accepted price uses another format, check it with the odds converter. For racing, the reported result status helps distinguish a received placing from official confirmation.

Apply adjustments in the right order

The winnings deduction reduces the profit portion of the accepted price. A dead-heat stake share then limits the eligible stake for the winning component. For a 10-unit cash bet at 5.00, a two-way dead heat gives 5 × 5 = 25 back, before any further adjustment.

A deduction of 20% changes profit odds of 4.00 to 3.20, giving adjusted decimal odds of 4.20. With the same half stake share, the cash return becomes 21. Deductions are supplied by you; the tool does not infer a Rule 4 rate from a withdrawn runner’s price.

Half settlements and voids

A half win means half the stake wins and half pushes. A half loss means half loses and half pushes. With 10 at 3.00, a cash half win returns 20; a half loss returns 5. A full void returns the original 10.

The comparison table recalculates the same terms for win, loss, void, half win and half loss. It is a settlement sensitivity table, not a list of outcome probabilities. Dead-heat shares apply to the winning component only.

Commission has a defined scope

The optional commission rate applies to positive net cash winnings after deductions in this isolated calculation. It does not charge on returned stake or on a losing result. Taxes, currency conversion, minimum fees and operator-specific rounding are not modeled.

An exchange may calculate commission on net winnings across an entire market. If you have several positions in that market, an isolated selection calculation can differ from the actual charge. Enter zero here and reconcile the combined market separately when necessary.

Practical questions

Does the return include my stake?

Yes. Return is the money paid back. Net profit is the return minus your stake and any costs you entered.

What does a void result do?

A void normally returns the stake before any separate costs. Check the accepted rules before choosing that outcome.

Before you use the result: check your stake, accepted odds and settlement rules. These calculations use the values you enter.
