A system is a collection of separate bets

For n selections, the number of k-selection combinations is n! ÷ (k! × (n − k)!). Four selections create six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold: eleven bets in total. At 2 units per line, the total stake is 22.

A Yankee uses those eleven lines. A Lucky 15 adds four singles. A Trixie has three doubles and a treble from three selections; a Patent adds three singles. Presets configure the selection count and line sizes, while custom mode allows your own sizes.

Per-line stake and total budget

In per-line mode, every combination gets the amount entered. In total-budget mode, the budget is divided equally across all lines. A 20-unit budget spread over eleven lines allocates about 1.81818 per line before display rounding.

Internal precision is retained and the exact modeled total remains 20. An operator requiring whole pennies on each line may allocate a remainder differently or reject that stake. Use per-line mode with an accepted unit stake when reconciling an actual receipt.

Interpret the combination table

Every combination displays its selection names, stake, settled factor, return and net result. A winning double can return money while other doubles lose; a positive return for the system does not necessarily exceed its total cost. Filter the table to isolate profitable, refunded or losing lines.

Void selections contribute a factor of one and can reduce a combination to fewer active legs. Distinct original combinations remain separate bet lines even if voids make their active selections identical. The calculator preserves them because each had its own stake.

Costs, commission and export

Overall commission is applied only to positive aggregate profit under this model. Some operators settle commission separately per market or line; a single aggregate percentage will not reproduce those arrangements. The CSV lists pre-commission line returns and a separate overall adjustment.

Up to twelve selections and all non-empty combination sizes produce at most 4,095 lines. Large systems are computationally supported, but the tool does not recommend increasing exposure. Check the total stake before interpreting a high all-win return.

Practical questions

Why is the total stake higher than the stake I entered?

A system contains several separate bets, called lines. A per-line stake is paid on each line. Check the line count and total before comparing returns.

Can a system return money if one selection loses?

It can if other lines win. That does not mean the whole system makes a profit. Compare the total return with the total stake.
