How an accumulator is calculated

A conventional accumulator multiplies the decimal odds of its selections. At 2.00, 3.00 and 1.50, combined odds are 9.00. A 10-unit cash stake returns 90 when all three win, before adjustments. The stake is placed once, not once per selection.

Each row can use its own odds format. The calculation converts accepted prices to decimal internally, so fractional 2/1 and decimal 3.00 contribute the same factor. Names help you match the breakdown to the original receipt.

Use the odds converter if the accepted prices use different formats. To compare a combination of smaller bets instead of one accumulator, open the round-robin calculator. For football legs, check which score period applies.

A leg’s settlement changes its factor

A winning leg contributes its adjusted decimal price, a losing leg contributes zero, and a void contributes one. At decimal 3.00, a half-win leg contributes (3 + 1) ÷ 2 = 2; a half-loss contributes 0.5. Multiplying these factors reproduces the equal split-stake arithmetic.

For example, 10 on three legs at 2.00, 3.00 and 1.50 with the middle leg void returns 30. If the middle leg instead loses, the return is zero. A dead-heat share is available for each winning component and should match the operator’s settlement.

Actual return versus all-win return

The all-win metric asks what the same configured selections would return if each settled as a win, keeping deductions and dead-heat shares unchanged. The settled return uses the outcomes you entered. The difference is a scenario comparison, not a forecast.

The effective settled factor is return before overall commission divided by the nominal stake. It may be below one even when no leg is a full loss, because half losses or stake reductions can erode the return. Check the leg table to locate the effect.

When multiplying prices is inappropriate

This calculator models conventional fixed-odds accumulators. Correlated selections, same-game parlays, minimum-leg bonuses, boosts and operator restrictions can use a separately quoted combined price. Multiplying individual displayed prices does not reproduce that custom contract.

Use the single settlement tool with the accepted combined price when that better matches your receipt. Free-bet mode removes the eligible returned stake proportion from each surviving split line; promotional token restoration after voids remains outside the cash model.

Practical questions

Is the all-win return what I will receive?

Only if all the legs settle as wins under the terms entered. A loss, void or part settlement can change the return.

What happens to a void leg?

A void leg normally uses a factor of one, so it adds no odds to the total. Check the rules for the bet you placed.
